1,000 IIT seats going to increase in next year 2018

There are indications that more and more people are expected to enroll in engineering in the prestigious IIT seat. In the next academic year, there is a possibility of raising at least 1,000 IITs across the country, a senior HRD official said. Most of these seats are from Mandi, Hyderabad, Jodhpur, Bhubaneshwar, Indore and Gandhinagar.Accordingly, construction work is going on in the courtyards. The number of seats in the old IITs like Delhi-IIT, Bombay-IIT and Kharagpur-IIT is likely to increase slightly. The number of seats allotted to women candidates in IITs will be increased further from next year. At present there are 10,998 seats available in 23 IITs nationwide.
